Day of the Gamma Knife procedure 128//15

Thank you Recognitions

This is a list of all the people who have donated to me and helped me in my journey.  This list is a recognition to the emotional, spiritual and financial support that has been offered to me and the extreme gratitude I feel about it!

Kaley Rhodes: for always being there, alternating being pushy and just being there!  Updated to Honey Badger status for eternity!

Whitney Johnson: for having such a silvery tongue

Renee Blackwell: for showing me the world of blogs and her gift of prayer

Linda Murillo, my heart sister: for never ONCE letting me down and being a strong soul to help guide me

David Teran Chavez: for loving me through all these years!

Luz Chavez: for being the best second mother I could ever want

My parents: For being the steady influence in my life that has guided me through this

Reyes Chavez: for always making me laugh and cheering me up!  I couldn't live without you!

First Presbyterian Preschool in Arlington, TX: for letting my youngest daughter stay in preschool even though I can't pay right now.  Truly blessed for this fortunate event!

Lisa Trevino: $$$, which I used to pay off my final bill from the oncologist (at this at this point in time!)

Winnie Neal: $$$, which I used to have my middle daughter's 6th birthday party at a bounce-house

My parents: $$$$ for financial stability - helping David pay the final costs of school and credentialing

Fatma: hot/cold pack for my neck and shoulders.  I think I will get ALOT of use from this after surgery!

Erika Cross: $$ for food costs.  I have a lot of family here helping and although it's usually just beans and tortillas, it does add up!

Jihee Choi: $$ for food costs! (See above)

Pat W: $$ for food

Denise Born: $$ for food.  Family pictures!!!  Soooo excited to see these and they were such a long time in waiting.  Pictures of me and David, me and the girls, the girls by themelves and all of us.  Denise was soooo patient!  Thank you!!!

Ladies from Methodist Charlton Medical Center: $500.  I used this money to take Yerena and the family bowling for her 6th birthday.  I also used the money just today for a relaxing massage before surgery!  It was BLISS!!!!

Tomy Family: a beautiful donation check that is being used to pay off existing medical bills from Texas Oncology.  Thank you for your extreme generousity

Jill Scott: $$$.  Used this money immediately today to get my hair done for Thanksgiving (didn't think about that before surgery!).  Also took the girls to get a manicure (which they LOVE!!).  Thank you!  They enjoyed making a mess and frosting the cupcakes!

Coworkers at MDMC: $200 to have David fly back for a weekend.  Of course, David also needs to eat in McAllen, so we might use the money for that instead!  I do want to see him again!

Kaley: for getting David back to Dallas on a buddy ticket!  It was an AWESOME surprise and it was so needed!  I did miss him so!  I can't believe y'all kept it a surprise so long!  You are the supreme honey badger!

Terry Kennewell: $$.  Put this money in the bank for living expenses

Winnie Neal: $$.  Put this money in the bank for living expenses

GARAGE SALE DONATIONS:
I am just amazed by the goodwill and generosity of everyone!  It is truly amazing the amount of donations we have recieved for the garage sale. We are using every available space in my sister's house to hold everything!  The garage is packed with furniture, lawn equipment, sporting goods, men stuff; the office has baby items and toys; the dining room is the housewares, decorations, office equipment, kitchen wares, etc and the living room is FULL of clothes!  And we still have stuff being delivered!  It is truly amazing what people have given!  These are people from all walks - some know me, some don't - but all want to give.  I am speechless!

Our plan is that we will do another garage sale at a larger venue after the first of the year.  There is just too much stuff going on in December to attempt again!  We're hoping for a church parking lot!  I will also be posting the items on eBay/Craigslist while we wait to see if there is any interest.

Thank you to everyone (to many to mention) for helping make this garage sale such a success.

First Presbyterian Preschool Staff: $75 Target gift card

Joquita Swingle and the Baylor Ladies: selling $2786 in bracelets!!!!!  WOW!!!!  What an undertaking! Grapevine is so blessed to have so many honey badgers in training!  Yerena LOVES the bracelets and anytime we go to a store, she wants to sell bracelets!  What a wonderful idea!!!

Christmas gifts: I can't even speak to the volume of gifts that were given not only to my children, but my extended family as well.   You all truly spoil me with your love and caring hearts!
